Today's efforts.

I'm satisfied with my rate of progress! Still lots to do, but it's looking just like I want it to.

More progress!

Here's what got done today:

To the right of the walkway will be grass - it's just covered up with dirt right now. Does anyone have a favorite low-growing plant that I might like to plant in between the stepping stones? So far I'm thinking thyme, and the mail woman suggested a variety of mint. If I could find some kind of dwarf chamomile that might be a good choice too, but I'm sure there must be other things I could consider.

My little dirt pile

Nobody doesn't love progress! Am I right? Grandpa Doug brought his backhoe over this evening and got it doooonnne. He didn't even knock the house over, though he did manage to tap one of the newly set posts. Oh well, it's minor considering what a tight squeeze it was. Tomorrow I'll start raking and getting ready for the sand or gravel before we put down the "pavers", which are really just busted up chunks of concrete that I'm going to plant aromatic creepers and herbs between.

The kids were thrilled and can't wait to go outside and play in the dirt tomorrow.

Graduation Night

I'm still working on the (very large) video from our Celebration of Learning day, but I was able to edit the video from last night's graduation event. It's too big to upload to YouTube, so please click the below link to open it directly into your Window's Media Player.

And, here are some photos from the graduation, and some from the last morning of Kindergarten.

Please enjoy!

Celebration of Learning

Great day yesterday! The video and explanation will follow in a day or two... in the meantime, enjoy these pictures! Thank you, Jivko, for taking these - they turned out great! I'm thrilled your battery died.

These are up on my flickr account too, for those of you who would like to share that photo set with family or friends, or leave comments.
